Fighting the Coronavirus with Dragon-Boat Water

The Dragon Boat Festival for 2020 falls on this coming Thursday  (June 25, 2020, Ji-hai day).

Chinese collect “dragon-boat water” for cleansing because the day is the “yangest” or most energy active day in the year.  It is called dragon-boat water because Chinese run dragon-boat races on water during this festival.

Negative energy is considered as “yin” or dark.  This includes viruses like the COVID-19.  A possible remedy or mitigation for this illness is to apply active or “yang” energy.

Dragon-boat water is collected during the yangest day and hour of the year.  So it has a high level of yang energy for healing and cleansing.

To get your FREE dragon-boat water, simply turn on your water tap between 11:00- 13:00 on this coming Thursday and store the water in bottles.

Dragon-boat water is good for cleansing and healing like:

— spray it on your body after visiting hospital, funeral home, cemetery, etc.
— spray it around your home for cleansing if your family members get sick lately
— your feel depressed (take shower with it or spray on your body)

What to do with a “stigmatized property”? 凶宅

Should you buy a house with tragic history like murder, suicide, haunting, terminal illness and the likes?  House like this is called “stigmatized property“.  Stigmatized property is usually difficult to rent out or sell. 

Houses with over 30+ years history inevitably had someone died inside and may even have some tragic events happened.  Some countries or states have real estate disclosure law that requires property seller to disclose any unnatural deaths (murder and suicide) happened in the property.

TYPES OF DEATHS IN A PROPERTY AND POSSIBLE REMEDY

Natural death due to aging:  This type of property is OK as long as doing a property cleansing like burning sages or inviting a priest of your own religion to bless and cleanse the property.

Death due to illness:  You need to check the Feng Shui environment of this house (both interior and exterior) to see if it had causes the illness.  If so, check if this negative Feng Shui can be corrected or overcome before purchasing the property. This is especially pertinent IF the illness is terminal.

Premature death due to cancer:  “Premature death” means death before 60 years old.  If previous resident had died of cancer prematurely, the chance of Feng Shui problem is pretty high.  Check if it is correctable.  If yes, you also need to have spiritual cleansing and releasing rituals done by priest of your preferred religion.

Death due to suicide:  You need to check the Feng Shui environment of this house (both interior and exterior) to see if it had caused the suicide.  If so, check if this negative Feng Shui can be corrected or overcome. If it is correctable, you also need to have spiritual cleansing and releasing rituals done by priest of your preferred religion.

Unnatural death outside property:  if resident had died outside the property due to traffic accident, disaster or tragedy, you need to have spiritual cleansing and releasing rituals done by priest of your preferred religion.  In addition, you need to set up an altar with the statue of a deity of your religion to guard and protect the house.

If you are an atheist or do not believe in ghost and spirits, the minimum you could do is to do an energy cleansing of whole house by burning sage or incense in every room of the house.  Then open all the windows and doors in the house and let the old energy of the house driven out by blowing fans.

House with tragic history usually is too “yin” or cold energetically.  Residents should keep an “always on” light (at least during evening) to increase “yang energy” or “warmth”,

Recharge and Reboot your Feng Shui luck for the Year of Rat

Tomorrow (Jan. 24, 2020) will be the last day of Year of Pig and the day after will be the Chinese Lunar New Year.  Here are something you can do to enhance your luck.

“Recharge” means replenish the qi or energy of your house after a year of operation.  “Reboot” means restarting a new Feng Shui process because you feel your luck is less than satisfactory or even horrible.

Below are methods to recharge or reboot the Feng Shui energies of your house in the last day of the lunar year.

RECHARGE HOUSE FENG SHUI (do these in last day of the lunar year)

1. Do a house cleaning, remove/ replace or repair broken or damaged items.
2. Move your Feng Shui animals like ki-lun, calabash and the like to the location for the Year of Rat (see my previous post on Grand Duke for exact locations).
3. Cut or remove dead leaves/ branches of any house plants.  If you want to add new plants, today or tomorrow (new year) is the best time to do it.

REBOOT HOUSE FENG SHUI

Do the #1- 3 in the “Recharge house Feng Shui” section, PLUS:

1. At night, turn on all the lights in the house and let it on until morning.
2. Find any portable light source (LED lights, light beam and the light) to illuminate/ flash any dark space/ corner in your house, including the underside of your bed, to drive out negative or dark energies.
3. At mid-night (24:01), turn on any fans, open all windows and doors to force all indoor qi (energy of the Year of Pig) out of the house and draw in new year energy (do NOT do this if your luck is good in 2019).  If you want to be sure, burn some sage or incense to fume the house.  Close the door and windows when you feel the air inside your house is fresh.
4. If you feel your personal luck was very bad in the Year of Pig, you can cleanse your aura by having another person sweeping sage or incense smoke around your body.

“Ken, can I still use these methods if I miss the last day of the year?”

Yes, wait 360+ days till Feb. 11, 2021 for the Year of Ox to do it.  But you can still use these methods in any day for cleansing.  The effects are just not as potent as doing it in the last day of the year.

Prep Guide for 2019 Year of Pig

Year of Pig will begin when spring solstice arrives at 11:16 on February 4, 2019.  Below are something that you may do to avoid problems and increasing your luck for the new year.

1.  House-cleaning:  Do your cleaning in Feb. 4 because Chinese New Year will officially start on Feb. 5 this year.  Besides removing physical garbage, you do an qi or energy cleansing for your house.  If your luck really sucks (bad) in last year, open all the windows and doors of your house, boil some water, let water vapor fill up your house and let the vapor blow out through the windows to get rid of any stagnant energy inside your house.  Alternatively you can burn incense or sage instead of boiling water.

If Year of Dog is great for you, do NOT do the qi-cleansing.  You want to keep milking the existing good luck energy for another month or two.

2.  Feng Shui fixes:

a.  Move your monster (ki-lun, cannon, St. Michael, etc.) to west region facing region to fix San-sha (3-killing).

b.  Put your metal fix for 5-yellow disaster star in SW.

c.  Put your metal or calabash fix for 2-black sickness star in NE.

d.  Put a small red doormat in the entrance if you have a door facing south to fix 3-jade star.

e.  Put a bowl of non-moving water in SE if you have a door there to fix 7-robber star.

f.  Move your water fountain or wealth-enhancing item to center of the house.

g.  North is good for career and study, put 4 lucky bamboos there if you want to enhance it.

3.  Clashing Grand Duke:  People with the following pillars or chart features will be in serious problems during year of pig:

a.  Bazi chart with one or more of these pillars:  if the pillar is your day pillar, bad things likely will happen to you and/or your spouse, if in other pillars, happen to your family member represented by these pillars.

— yi-si  (most serious)

— gui-si

b.  chart with 2+ si (snake)

d.  Jia-wood daymasters:  prone to losing money due to affairs, especially males.

(Go to http://www.bazi-calculator.com, key in your birthday and check the day column in your birth chart to see if you have a yi-si, gui-si day pillar or jia-wood daymaster).  

Possible Remedies:  

1.  Consult a Bazi Reader.

2.  Print out the photo of 2019 Grand Duke from here and pray to him for protection or use the photo as screen saver in your cell phone or computer.  But you must do at least one act of kindness that reduces suffering of any living thing to activate this remedy.  “One kind act neutralizes hundreds of misfortunes.  Numerous kind acts dissolve thousands of calamities一善解百災, 多善解千難” is the famous saying in Chinese.  You may make a donation to a charity, adopt or feed a homeless cat/dog/person or even visit old folks in senior home.

3.  People with yi-si or gui-si day pillars– donate blood, if too weak to donate, at least do a blood test.

Minimalist Feng Shui for 2018

This is a “green” article recycled from last year with updates.  If you are darn lazy, simply read the following picture and go back to your sweet dream.

No digging/ movements in regions with blue arrows:

• Region between 142.5- 217.5 degrees  (San Sha and 5-yellow locations)
• 247.5- 292.5 degrees (2-black star)– use metal cure
• 292.5- 307.5 degrees (Grand Duke)
• 112.5- 127.5 degrees (Sui-Po or year-breaker)

“Minimalist Feng Shui”  here fixes only 2-5, 5-5, and 9-5 star combinations in regions with activities.  You don’t need to put up remedies or Feng Shui monsters in all 9-palaces of your house, especially in region with no activity like storage room or guest room.

This year Sui-po (year-breaker) is in the 8-wealth star region.  Be very careful with the location where you put your water-fountain or other wealth-enhancement monsters.

You should do a good date-selection if you need to do construction in any of the above locations with blue arrow (mountains/ palace).  San-sha and 5-Yellow star share the same location this year.  Make sure you do not provoke their “anger” by digging and movements there.

People with dragon and dog zodiac signs should avoid seeing corpse being put into a coffin or burial for this year if they don’t want bad luck and sickness.

Yang nobleman sign for this year is Chou (ox).  Yin nobleman is Wei (ram).

2018 Wu-xu Feng Shui year will start on February 4 @ 5:30 am.  Remember to move your Feng Shui monsters/ remedies before that time.  Do a house-cleaning/ cleansing on Feb. 3 if you have suffered misfortunes during 2017 ding-you year.

For 2012, Ren-Chen, the year of water-dragon year, the water should be “extra strong” due to current year is a yang water dragon year.

To get your FREE dragon-boat water, simply turn on your water tap between 11:00- 13:00 on this coming Saturday and collect the water.

Dragon-boat water is good for cleansing like:
— spray it on your body after visiting hospital, funeral home, cemetery, etc.
— your home has many sickness lately
— your feel depressed (take shower with it or spray on your body)
— drink it (if you have chronic sickness, (boil it first!)but don’t drink too much)
— cleansing unknown objects like the antique you bought from Goodwill
— cleansing your home/ office or simply cleaning your home with it.

Church Bells, Temple Bells and House-cleansing

I have watched a BBC documentary “Come Bell Ringing” last night.  Conductor and musician Charles Hazlewood  had created a concert with the bell towers of 3 churches and a group of bell ringers in Cambridge, England. There are some historical footnotes about medieval Europeans had used bells to expel evil and sickness.

In China or most Buddhist countries,  one can find a giant temple bell in a temple. The biggest temple bell in China is located in Tianning Temple in Changzhou City.  It weighs 15 tons and sits on the 13th floor of a pagoda.  When this bell is rung, its tone can be heard within a 10 miles radius.

Chinese Buddhists and Daoists believe that the metal sound of copper or brass bell can cleanse and purify the qi or energy of nearby environment, especially when the bell is inscribed with holy texts and blessings.  These texts and blessings will be converted to sound energy and spread into the area nearby to cleanse and harmonize the energy field there.

It seems that both eastern and western cultures believe in that metal sound has certain mythical cleansing power.

In Chinese Feng Shui, metal sound is believe to cure the 2-black sickness and 5-yellow disaster stars.  The rationale is that both 2 and 5 stars are earth in nature and metal sound is akin to their children crying for help (note:  this is based on 5-elements theory– earth produces metal). These negative earth energies, which would have caused sickness or misfortune, will be re-directed to nurture metal.  Therefore, the Feng Shui cure for 2 and 5-stars– small copper bells are hanged at the door or even chiming grand father clocks are used.

QUICK & EASY WAY TO CLEANSE YOUR HOUSE
You may want to do a cleansing of your house if:

• you feel depressed lately
• you feel tired or no energy all the time
• many people get sicked in your house
• overall family luck drops or suffer more accidents
• your house is full of tension
• annual end of the year cleansing 

The cheapest and easiest way to cleanse your house is go buy a copper or brass hand-bell.  You may buy a Tibetan Bell if you can afford one.  First you cleanse the bell by running it over lighted candle or incense urn.  You may also cleanse the bell with holy water obtained from a church.

The house cleansing process is easy– simply ringing the bell while walking around your house. While walking, visualize heaven or the universe is sending cleansing and blessing energies into your house and the stagnant and sickness energies are pushing out. Make sure the dark corners, especially those that cannot see sunlight, are also “rung” at. Those are the high risk areas for hidden “stuff” or energies.

How about adding blessing and amplify your manifestations while cleansing your house?

Today is your lucky day.  Here is how:  Simply write down the blessing like “good health”, ‘harmony”, “better wealth-luck” (don’t ask for $1M), “improving career”…..etc.  on a small piece of paper and stick it on the bell.  Make the paper removable so that you can change your wish and blessing whenever you do house-cleansing.
