Now you have a new excuse for not doing something— Feng Shui!

According to Reuter news, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Hong Kong, Cheung Kong Center  (it is next to Bank of China, owned by Lee Ka Sing, the richest man in HK) has declined to hold a Dutch charity exhibition of clogs because of  “Feng Shui”.

The tower’s management said the wooden footwear show would cause bad luck, because the Cantonese word for shoes — hai — sounds similar to a sigh of exasperation”.

We Cantonese speakers has a saying:  “If this turns out (the other way), I’ll follow you and carry your shoes!”  So “carrying” another person’s shoes is seen as degrading. This is not Feng Shui but cultural or folk belief.

Another vulgar meaning of shoe or “hai” is vagina because the Cantonese sound of “hai” sounds like vagina. This is not Feng Shui but “guilty by association” only.

Is there any “Shoe Feng Shui”?

The only thing that can be remotely associated with Feng Shui and shoes is — do not put smelly shoes in the entrance of your door. But this is not really Feng Shui but hygiene.

It is not unusual that cultural or folk belief is treated as “Feng Shui”. Now you don’t need to say “my spouse does not want to..” and just blame it on Feng Shui.

The Forbes magazine has conducted a study about the characteristics of the world’s 657 self-made billiionares in last February.

The study examines: “Are billionaires born or made? What are the common attributes among the uber-wealthy? Are there any true secrets of the self-made?”

In this message I just focus on the birth month correlation with wealth potentials. You may check out the entire article if you are interested in other factors.

http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/106866/Billionaire-Clusters

Month of birth is important in “4-pillars of Destiny” because it determines the temperature of a natal chart. Extreme temperature like excessive hotness, dryness, coldness or dampness has severe consequence on major aspects of life like fertility and marriage.

Here are the parts about months of birth in the study:

“Consistent with the rest of the population, more American billionaires were born in the fall than in any other season. However, relatively few billionaires were born in December, traditionally the month with the eighth highest birth rate. This anomaly holds true among billionaires in the U.S. and abroad.”

“Of the 380 self-made American tycoons who have appeared on the Forbes list of the World’s Billionaires in the past three years, 42 were born in September–more than in any other month. ”

December is around Zi-water winter month of the solar calendar. Water energy is strong and cold in this month. The probability of getting a “cold” chart is much higher than other months since the important month branch is taken by a cold element already.

September is around the shen-metal autumn month of the solar calendar. Shen month is the first month after the wei-earth summer month. It is not too cold or hot even if there are few fire elements found in a natal chart.

Today is your lucky day—- here is a big secret on how to differentiate a “rich” chart and an “ultra-rich” chart– it is all in the temperature of the charts.

The temperature of a “rich” chart is not as well-adjusted as an “ultra-rich” chart. “Well-adjusted” means the balance between hot vs. cold and dry vs. wet.

This Forbes study seems to give face validity to this theory of temperature adjustment.

Before we begin, this message is not about the advantages and disadvantages or political correctness of  “cul-de-sac commune”  living. It simply examine the idea from Form Feng Shui perspective.culdesac_540

A “cul-de-sac commune” is formed when residents of a dead-end street with a cul-de-sac are joined together like the old co-op in the past, to share resources, friendship and services. For more info, check the following link:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102651496

Should you live in a”cul-de-sac commune”? It all depends on the location of your house in the street.

From Form Feng Shui perspective, houses located at a cul-de-sac endure a major Feng Shui sha or negative energy– the “sickle sha“. The curature of the cul-de-sac looks like a sickle cutting into the house. The negative effects of “sickle sha” are surgery or bloody accidents. There are Feng Shui formula used to calculate the most probably year of injury occurrence and who will get the injury (formula in my “Advanced Form Feng Shui” class).

House at a certain location on the cul-de-sac may suffer a negative energy called “White Tiger gives bouquet“– it stands for marital infidelity.

You may ask, “Ken, there are tons of cul-de-sacs in USA and do not seem to have these problems.”

This is exactly what I want you to ask! Cul-de-sac or dead-end street usually has less traffic, so the sha or negative energy is not “activated“– but not when you have a cul-de-sac commune! There will be increased auto and human traffic that make energy moving around more frequently and may activate the negative energy.

Now returning to the question of should you live in a “cul-de-sac commune”–it is OK to live in one if your house is not within the cul-de-sac.

If there any remedies or fixes for people who already live in the cul-de-sac? Yes, there are remedies in my “Advanced Form Feng Shui” course.
