2022 Grand Duke Talisman Charity Drive

This post is based on my past posts about “Grand Duke Talisman charity drive” with updates for 2022.

If you have read my old message about functions of Grand Duke, you know that there are two Grand Dukes watching over your shoulder, counting the good and bad deeds that you have done and executing rewards and misfortunes accordingly.

Our Grand Duke talismans are consecrated with the energy from Grand Duke and his mother Dou-mou (mother or commander of 60 Grand Dukes).  Hopefully, our talismans will motivate Grand Duke to be easy and generous on you when his mother is around him.

Why do we ask for a charitable donation for this talisman?  When your talisman is grounded with a charitable deed, GD is less likely to execute any misfortunes due from your karma account. The rationale for donation is an exchange of energy– using a charitable deed in exchange of protection energy from Grand Duke.  One cannot get something out of nothing.

2022 GRAND DUKE GENERAL HE-E  壬寅太歲賀諤    

2022 is Ren-yin or year of water-tiger.  Grand Duke for the year is General Hé é who was a military commander in Yuan Dynasty (1271- 1368) specialized in attack warfare.

DO YOU NEED A 2022 GRAND DUKE TALISMAN? 

Five groups of people who need Grand Duke Talismans:

1. “Fu-yin” or same animal sign of Grand Duke 值太岁– people with tiger sign

• Birth years: 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010  
• Symptoms: obstacles, stagnation or running “reverse” instead of forward and not suitable for travels. 

2. “Fan-yin” or “clashing” the animal sign of Grand Duke 冲太岁– people with monkey sign

• Birth years: 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016
• Symptoms: big fluctuations in luck, accident, sickness, surgery, losing competitions/wealth, moving, death, changing job

3.  “Hai” or “harming” the animal sign of Grand Duke 害太岁– people with snake sign 

• Birth years: 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013 
• Symptoms: interpersonal relationship problems, negative romance, marital problem, backstabbing  

4. “Po” or “breaking” the animal sign of Grand Duke 破太岁– — people with pig sign

• Birth years: 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971,  1983, 1995, 2007, 2019   
• Symptoms: backstabbing at work, over-consumption, no luck in non-regular income like gambling/ stock and success slips away in the last minute

5.  “Xing” or “penalizing” the animal sign of Grand Duke 刑太岁—— people with monkey or snake sign

• Birth years (monkey): 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016
• Birth years (snake): 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013
• Symptoms: big fluctuations in luck, wealth, career, relationship and health; traffic accident, sickness, surgery, losing competitions/wealth, moving, death,  negative romance, quarrels and etc.

SPECIAL NOTE:   “3-penalties” is formed when a chart has tiger (yin), snake (si) and monkey (shen).  Serious misfortune such as major accident/ illness, losing wealth or even death may occur.  So even if your animal sign is not one of the above BUT your natal chart and luck period bring in Yin (tiger), Si (snake) and/ or Shen (monkey), you are also violating Grand Duke indirectly.  For example, you are not a monkey sign (shen) person but you have a shen inside your natal chart or luck period brings in a shen. 
 
GRAND DUKE TALISMAN FOR FENG SHUI REMEDY
If your house faces Yin mountain or NE3 direction, you need to put up a Grand Duke talisman facing that direction and avoid construction, earth-digging and demolition there.

If your desk or wherever you sit for an extended time facing Yin mountain or NE3 direction, you can put up a Grand Duke talisman there for protection.  It is not auspicious to face the Grand Duke direction.  It weakens your competition power in business/career and examinations.  However, if you arrange your seat so that NE3 will be at your back (and put a Grand Duke talisman there), you will get Grand Duke as support and is good for competition and business.

House violating Grand Duke
In 2022 Ren-yin year, if your house faces Yin-tiger mountain or NE3 (52.5 to 67.5 degree) direction, your house is said to be “violating Grand Duke.”  House violating GD will affect the overall luck, health and well-being of the people living inside.  The remedy is either avoiding movements, construction, earth-digging and demolition there or put up a Grand Duke talisman facing NE3 direction.  The opposite side of Grand Duke is Year-breaker (Sui-po, SW3 or Shen mountain).  This location should avoid digging and activities too.

Even with the GD talisman, if you need to do construction, you still need to do a date-selection for an auspicious date and start digging on a non-GD direction and finish last on the GD direction.

Desk violating Grand Duke 

If your desk or wherever you sit for an extended time faces Yin-tiger mountain or NE3 direction, you can put up a Grand Duke talisman there for protection. It is not auspicious to face the Grand Duke direction.  It weakens your competition power in business/career and examinations. However, if you arrange your seat so that NE3 will be at your back (and put a Grand Duke talisman there), you will get Grand Duke as support and is good for competition and business.

Alec Baldwin’s prop gun accident and 3-penalties

On Oct. 21, 2021 around 1- 2 pm, Alec Baldwin had accidentally killed his cinematographer and injured the director with a prop gun on the movie set of “Rust” in California.  Below are the astrological data for this analysis:

• Current year: 2021 Year of Ox (Year Ruler or Grand Duke is Ox or Chou)
• Current Month:  Xu or Dog month
• Alec Baldwin was born in 1958 (63 years old), the Year of Dog or Xu.  Dog “penalizes” Ox in Chinese astrology, so Alec “penalizes” the Grand Duke of 2021.  This usually means obstacles and misfortune.
• Director Joel Souza was born in 1973 (48 years old), the Year of Ox or Chou.  Joel has the same animal sign of Grand Duke of 2021.  This is called “violating” Grand Duke.  This usually means obstacles, illness and bad luck.
• Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was born in 1979 (42 years old), the Year of Ram or Wei.  Ram clashes Ox in Chinese astrology.  This is called “clashing Grand Duke” and usually means bad luck, sickness, injury or even death.

You may notice the people involved in this tragedy have the Chinese zodiac animal signs that form a “dog-ox-ram” or Xu-Chou-Wei 3-penalties in Chinese astrology.

Now let’s look at the day chart when the accident had happened:

The incident had happened when the day chart has all the Xu-Chou-Wei 3-penalties element present!  The victims’ animal signs also form the same 3-penalties.  This case study also shows “clashing Grand Duke” is more serious than other forms of interaction with Grand Duke.  People who were born in 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003 and 2015 are “clashing Grand Duke” for 2021.

Another lesson here is avoiding gathering of people with animal signs that will form a 3-penalties with the current Grand Duke, especially when the day chart also has the same 3-penalties elements.

2013 Grand Duke Talisman Charity Drive

2013 GRAND DUKE GENERAL XU DAN

2013 is Gui-Si or year of water-snake. Grand Duke for the year is General Xu Dan who was a military officer in Han Dynasty (25- 220 AD). Xu was known for his bravery and generosity.  He had conquered the barbarian tribes and small kingdoms that had plagued the west side of China with an army of volunteers. Over 50 tribes and kingdoms were annexed into the Han Kingdom with Xu‘s help.

2013  GRAND DUKE TALISMAN 

Si or year of Snake can be very dangerous for people with Shen (monkey) and Yin (tiger) signs because these signs can form “Yin-Si-Shen 3-penalties”.   People with this penalty usually jinx their close relative to major sickness/ injury or even death.  However,  some people may experience meteoric rise to fame overnight if the 3-penalties elements are favorable in their Bazi chart.  People with Hai or pig sign in their Bazi chart may suffer injuries caused by fire or water.

Here are the four groups of people who need Grand Duke Talismans:

• SYMPTOMS: legal problems, accidents, injuries by knife, low luck and personal safety problems

Grand Duke Remedy for the Chinese New Year

Though the Chinese Lunar New Year will be on Feb. 14 of this year, the Year of Tiger officially starts at Spring Solstice (Li-chun) or Feb. 4.

According to Chinese custom, a new ruler of the year, or Grand Duke (Tai-sui) will come for each year.  For 2010 or Geng-yin (metal-tiger) year, the Grand Duke is General Wu Huan.  Pleases see his picture on the talisman image enclosed here.

For 2010, Grand Duke sits on Northeast, specifically, the Yin mountain (NE3).  If your house faces NE3, it is considered “clashing Grand Duke“.  The residents may face accidents, obstacles or losing wealth.  The cure is minimizing movements in the facing and put a Grand Duke talisman (see sample here) facing NE3.

On the other hand, if your house sits on Yin mountain, it is considered having the support of Grand Duke.  The tenants will do better in business ventures and competition.  Historically speaking, countries at war with Grand Duke at their back are likely to win.

In terms of individuals, people who have something to do with current year’s Grand Duke are generally considered “violating Grand Duke“.  But in reality this “violation” can be distinguished in 3 ways:

1.  People who have the same animal sign as the Grand Duke are considered “on duty” or “zhi 植” with Grand Duke. For 2010 , people who were born in Tiger years (1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998) are “on duty” with Grand Duke. The symptoms will be minor sickness, emotionally inbalanced and minor misfortunes.

2.  People who animal sign that clashes the Grand Duke are “chong” or clash Grand Duke.  For 2010, people with monkey animal sign (born 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992) are clashing Grand Duke for the year.  This is the most serious Grand Duke violation that may cause:
— career changes (promotion or demotion)
— moving
— frequent travels
— major monetary losses or bankruptcy
— death in the family
— major sickness/ surgery
— accident or death

3.  People who have animal sign that “penalizes” Grand Duke.  For 2010, people who have snake (si) animal sign (born 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1972, 1984, 1996) penalize Grand Duke.  Penalizing is less severe than clashing Grand Duke.  The symptoms are: bickering, backstabbing, legal problems and lawsuits.

One way to cure this Grand Duke violation is to carry the Grand Duke talisman shown here.  However, a mere reproduction of this talisman does not have the divine energy to fix the problem.  A talisman needs to be “activated” or “benedicted” by a Daoist teacher or priest to be effective.  A benediction easily costs US$60.
