Characteristics of Inauspicious or Haunted House

A house is inauspicious or haunted if it has the following characteristics:

1. There are two or more deaths or severe injuries in the family within 3 years of moving-in.– House like this usually has “sha-qi” (negative energy) like T-junction, sickle-cutting sha, heart-piercing sha or “white-tiger sha”.  These negative energies cause bloody events, backstabbing and disharmony .
2. After moving in, family members have chronic headache, fevers or diarrhea.
3. Family members suffer frequent misfortunes and bad lucks after moving in.
4. Family members suddenly turn against each other after moving in.
5. After moving in, family members suffer insomnia or dreaming of ghosts.
6. Pets like cat and dog refuse to enter the new house or certain part of the house.
7. Baby or toddler cries when entering the new house, especially at the evenings
8. Barely perceptible smell of rotten material or foul smell (but cannot find the source)
9. Small animals clashing into the house and died (excluding moths)
10. Feeling chill inside the house even in summer.
11. Family altar tablets (of ancestors or deity) fell down or cracked

Move away if this is your house.  The problem is that if you live in a house with these conditions, you are likely in a bad luck period and may end up in a much worse house.  Hence you should hire a Feng Shui practitioner with a proven track record to help you find another house.

If for any reason that you cannot move, as long as your problem is not due to #1 above, find a priest of your preferred religion and do a cleansing and blessing of your house (and hope the problems go away).

When NOT to change your house Feng Shui

There are 3 types of people in this world:

1. People who do not believe in Feng Shui.
2. People who blame Feng Shui whenever their fortune slides and modify their Feng Shui.
3. People who are successful and maximizing the Feng Shui of their houses continuously.

Below are some precautions to observe before changing the Feng Shui environment of your house.

Do NOT alter your Feng Shui:

1. if you are currently enjoying good fortune, frequent celebrations and wealth luck

— don’t fix anything if nothing has broken and don’t be greedy for more fortune.  This includes your yin Feng Shui (tomb).

2. if you have pregnant woman in the house

— Chinese believe remodeling and construction work will hurt the gestation environment of the fetus.  A common attribution to cleft lip baby is construction and operations of sharp objects in the house during gestation.  This includes not moving to another house during a pregnancy.

3. if you have severely sick patient in your house

—  a severely sick patient is already low in vital energy and  would suffer greatly if clashed by unfamiliar new energy/ qi.

4. if your house has severe sha-qi or spiritual disturbance

—  with severe sha-qi (negative energy), change made in one area can easily induce other unintended consequences.  With spiritual disturbance (ghosts or karma-debt related), Feng Shui remedies will have little effect and may provoke even more repercussions.

Sometimes, obstacles and bad fortune are attributed to one’s bad annual or 10-years luck periods of your Bazi or 4-Pillars chart.  You may want to consult a Bazi reader to make sure your current misfortune is NOT due to your destiny before doing any Feng Shui changes.  Safety and health are more important than enhancing fortune or wealth luck.

Suffering Bad Luck? Easy ways to improve your luck

When things do not go your way,  success slips away in the last minute, people backstabbing you, appliance breaking down, losing money, accidents, illness and the likes keep popping up…. or simply put, “Life sucks!”. You are in a bad luck period.

Chinese metaphysics considers “yang” or positive energy brings vitality and good luck to a person.  Bad luck is caused by an excess of “yin” or negative energy.  The remedy is to increase “yang energy” and reduce “yin energy” around and inside a person .

Below are some easy ways to add more “yang energy” into your system to improve your luck:

1. Go to places with crowds—  Living people is a major source of vital or yang energy.  Places like shopping mall, university, concert hall and parks.  But avoid hospital and cemetery which have more yin than yang energy.
2. Hug or hold babies—  Babies have more yang energy than adults.
3. Sit under the sun before 3 pm—  Sunshine is a good source of yang energy.  11am- 1 pm has the most yang energy of the day.  Just be careful of not getting sunburn.
4. Swim in the sea before 3 pm–  sea water has salt that is good for washing away negative energy from your body.  Bathing in hot spring is also great too.
5. Take a bath with lemon leaves water— to wash away negative energy and cleanse your body.
6. Visit people who are successful (i.e. in good luck period) and avoid people in bad luck period.
7. Go to celebrations like wedding, birthday (esp. for newborn baby) parties and avoid funeral and visiting the sick.
8. Hug a healthy tree to absorb its energy.  But this must be done before 3 pm or the tree will absorb your energy instead.
9. Walk with your bare feet on the beach (on ground is OK) or on the grass to absorb some earth energy and release your excess yin energy.

Green Dragon and White Tiger– Adult Edition 青龙白虎成人版

“Green dragon” and “white tiger” are two of the four major Feng Shui animals in classic Form Feng Shui.  The other two are black tortoise (back) and red phoenix (front).  Green dragon stands for the left side or protection of a house and white tiger the right side.

In terms of people, green dragon stands for men and helpful mentors whereas white tiger for women and “mean people“.

Today is your lucky day.  Here are some secret meanings of green dragon and white tiger.  You can figure it out right the way if you remember the “No Bush” or “No more Bush” anti-Bush presidential campaigns in the early 2000’s.

In traditional China, women with no pubic hair are called “white tigers“.  Traditional belief thinks white tiger women bring bad luck or jinxing their husbands.  Just a few weeks ago in Taiwan, a white tiger woman was berated by her husband for his bad fortune over the years.  This woman gets a hair transplant done in her private part area.

White tiger women’s ideal marriage partners, according to traditional belief, are the “green dragon” men– guys with no public hair.  Two jinxes neutralize each other and happy coexistence thereafter.

“How about those ‘DIY white tiger women”?  Will they jinx their husbands?”

No jinx at all.  This is just one of the Chinese superstitions or folklore.  You probably jinx yourself more not washing your hands after going to the bathroom than being a white tiger or green dragon person.
